The truth about happiness
Laughter is a feeling while happiness is a state, feelings goes off but a state is like a container that can be reused. feelings can be faked, I have seen people saying the word I love you but truly there is nothing like love in their heart. If we understand how people go extra length to fake laughter we won't throw ourselves into depression just because of a picture you see online. You see them in a serene environment and they laughed to the camera then you assume they are happy, ooooops it is 21st century, haven't you heard about audio laughter, laughter can come from anything be it a joke or just temporary moment but it goes off and we have nothing at hand to remember it again.
Laughter doesn't translate to happiness
The photo up there was taken some months after the first photo was snapped and in that photo I might not be widening my mouth to express laughter but actually it was one of my most happiest day on earth, the first photo was before I became graduate while the second I am already a graduate, although the first photo was registered with laughter but here I am looking like a soldier in the second photo where I supposed to almost tear my mouth with laughter. When you remember the inputs that birthed a success, the day of its manifestation will be a day of outburst of many expression in which you will be confused on the one to express, you will just stay calm and be in a good drift of joy and happiness within your heart. have seen a woman that just gave birth and she was told about it then she did not laugh infact her expression didn't change, I have seen people being told about the great news that they expect and what happens next was tears rolling down their eye, should we assume that these people are not happy even after the good news, No, we shouldn't, those are moment of overwhelming and laughter can't express the deepness of that Joy so in essence happiness is a deeper feeling that laughter cannot entirely express.I have heard people commit suicide the evening after they hang up with their friends taking the best laughter pictures in the world. If we think that picture or appearance express happiness then we might be wrong. You can tickle me and I laugh, does that mean I am happy. Happiness is a state, you can be in it and be calm or act weird, it depends on the personality. It cannot be measure by laughter or any appearance it is a situation of the heart which birth series of comfortable feelings, joy and sweetness.
Happiness is not free
Happiness is a consequence of an action or situation. Happiness doesn't come cheap. To understand this more, let's examine the situation that is associated with happiness.Situations associated with happiness are success, childbirth, employmemt, graduation, matriculation, project approval and completion and whole lot.
Do we think success is free, or do we think childbirth is easy or maybe we can say completion of a project can be bought. Happiness is never free, your today will determine whether you will be happy tomorrow. There are some actions that we can do that will enhance our happiness.
Let me say this; i am typing happiness does not translate that I am happy, infact as I am typing this happiness stuff who knows maybe I am sad. Happiness is not what we act on it is what we react on. You can't hear that you just won a big contract and happiness won't automatically come, happiness is spontaneous. But only if it is the result of your good effort
Most good things in life doesn't come freely they are consequences of yesterday action. If we understand that laughter is not free, then this is the time when we should look into our life to examine it and understand what we are doing now and answer the question of will it lead to tomorrow laughter or not.
Happiness cannot be bought but earned
People do tickle themselves by buying themselves porch cars, getting many luxurious things, it is just a tickling it won't last forever, sooner a more better car will come out so if your happiness is tied on that car, you will need to get a new car to sustain that happiness. Luxurious things give happiness but they don't make happiness, what makes happiness is the things you do to acquire those luxury. When you make wealth from the tears of others, you will spend more to give yourself happiness because your life is not making it. Your life makes happiness while resources gives happiness. If you rely on resources to give you happiness then you are just an inch off emptiness. Wealthy and very successful People have killed themselves because of depression and depression is the opposite of happiness, same way have we see poor men commiting suicide even with no or little resources.Happiness is unpredictable that is why it can't be bought. However, when you live life out of crimes, you help people happy and you live a free life, your life will certainly attract happiness. That is why God gave us the ten commandments, all the law in the ten commandments does not affect God neither does it change him but they are guidelines that can make us happy. The same way he sent his son Jesus Christ to exemplify a life of love, for in true love happiness is found. Everything Christ taught us, they are lifestyle that will earn us happiness.
If happiness is not free and it is not sold how can we have it
It took me four years of hard work, study and persistency to earn the happiness in the second photo. It takes a mother nine months of pain and endurance to experience the happiness of childbirth, it takes lot of failure to enjoy the happiness of success, it takes the wipe out of darkness to see the light. So there is always tears and pain behind laughter for those two things are the bricks and mortar to build happiness. You can't keep skipping pain and pressure and expect happiness, infact you are not skipping anything but pushing it forward. The price for a happy life is a life of kindness, righteousness, cheerfulness and love and these things are only ascertained in Jesus Christ.Since happiness is never free, you need to sacrifice your existence on earth to Jesus Christ for you to enjoy the everlasting happiness.
