CHRIST, OUR FAITH

Introduction
Who haven't heard the word

_"looking up to christ the author and finisher of our faith"_

I am sure almost all Christians have heard or either stumbled on it in one way or another but I know that most does not know where it is taken from the Bible.
........If you are part of them raise up your hand 😀😀.........

Alright it is taken from the book of Hebrew 12:2.

Christ is everything for us to learn and understand faith. Infact his existence is faith, one of those things you will never stop being intoxicated of when with Christ is faith. So this morning I caught something great in the book of Mark 5:35-43 where Christ exemplify faith totally, follow this teaching as we study it together.

Dealing with Negative word

```Mark.5.35 - While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler's house some who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?"
Mark.5.36 - But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, "``` Do not fear, only believe.

Let me start by asking you a question "how many negative word have you heard just this year?".

It is not about the negative word actually because the world itself is negative but my problem with believers is how do we react to these words?
Here we have Jesus Christ who is about to do one of the biggest miracle in his ministry and someone just came from nowhere to fight the success from coming with negative word. Don't blame the person with the negative word because that is what they see, that is what their knowledge can carry and that is why Jesus never rebuked the guy or shun him up but he talked to those who started the journey of faith with him since the beginning and what did he say?

```He said that; Do not fear, only believe```

That's the word that supposed to be your weapon in the last project you did but you did not and you failed. If you have stand on that word in your last business I am sure by now it would have grown. If you have tried the word in your relationship by now you would be more happy in life than this. And very importantly, if you have tried the word in your faith in God you wouldn't have still be a puppet that you are with the devil.

```1 Timothy 6:13 said fight the good fight of faith```

There is never a weapon set aside to fight the good fight of faith. Your word and your believe is the weapon you need.

Are you a believer or a fearer?

The next question we have to ask ourselves is either we are a believer or a fearer. Believers see the positivity while the fearers have the negativity to battle with. That man that approached Jesus Christ is the class captain of fearers so he came to draw disciples while Jesus was the shepherd of believers so he spoke the word "don't fear but believe" to hold down his people who started the journey of faith together with him although just few could only understand this word. Having faith is not about you only starting, it is about you standing and keep standing.
Our problem shouldn't be negative word that we hear, it should be, what do we perceive of the word. We shouldn't be like Peter on the sea who had faith in Jesus and was made to walk on the sea but at another point he derailed his belief on Christ the anchor of his faith and paid little attention to the environment however that little attention took all his attention up and immediately sank him. What situation around is stealing your attention from being focus with Christ.

```Should I tell you one negative word now.```

Those that are gentle and called believers will find it hard to succeed because they are too dull or God minded

Do you believe the shit up there? Do you believe that success is only for the crook, only for those who can bend corners. If you believe such rubbish, you have no reason to be identified as a Christian or a believer, you have no reason to continue with this teaching but if you didn't believe that trash congratulations get prepared for the next test

Do you believe your present situation, it is very worst, it will never change or if it change it won't look the way you want it unless you take corners?

```Who is still believing in the rubbish up there? Who? Who?```

You have faith does not necessarily mean you are immune to failure but it means you are no option for failure no matter the situation.

No matter the faith a seed have or would have it won't stop it from being dropped to the ground, buried, rotten and decayed however the faith the seed should have is; I am coming better and I matter of time the buried and decayed seed will be a standing tree.
Tell yourself now that whatever situation I am facing now, no matter how hard it is, I am coming better

When I watched the film overcomer, I learnt something remarkable (I advise all ya to watch it) Although the woman is almost loosing his son to the cold hand of death, she still maintain positivity. She went the length of shunning people who might be speaking negativity around her and her son, as in she fight them not with anything but with the positive word. She is so strong that she doesn't need the advice of other to believe her dieing child will live, the word of God in her locate her a strong advice because the word of God said that out of thy belly shall flow rivers of living water, please what is flowing through you.
Never let your weapon of positive word ever get lost or missing, never.

I heard about Papa Oyedepo during his days of little beginning when all he has for a car was a rickety, one minute work and push motor, it was actually motor and never a car. People around pities him when he move around actually pushing the car and not driving the car (hope you get my pun). At some point people approached him and told him that Hey man of God stop giving yourself a problem, your level and status does not deserve a car, you rather sell this car off and use the proceeding to get yourself a befitting suit and get good food instead of looking like a poor man. But papa Oyedepo keep answering them as they come that I am not poor and I can never be poor however, at that moment Papa was poor. He was poor did not make him to underrate himself. The environment made him poor but in Christ he see himself very wealthy, so what Image are you seeing in Christ?

Is it what the community calls you that makes up your headache or what Christ calls you  that makes your source of joy

Can you have this mindset; believe that anything you fail in does not worth you or you don't worth it, either take a better challenge or you take it again better.

Do you think Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln wouldn't have heard many negative words when their life fit in to be a perfect example to explain failure but they never relented. They never relented because they made a filter in their heart that transform negative word to positive word.

Live in the reality of CHRIST word

People will tell you to loosen up, forget righteousness, live to the trend. Should I tell you numbers of people who never loosen up, who never forget righteousness and never lived to negative trend and yet they are celebrities now in their career, we have tons and tons lot of them. Devil just choose to hype his own that is why we are taking away with the negatives one.

What you believe in and what you trust in becomes your reality.

Do I have someone here who is ready to make this word their anthem

Do not fear, just believe
